Progress Effiong is from Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State in the Southern part of Nigeria but is currently based in Lagos State.

Early Life & Educational Background

Progress started his music career in 1998 when he joined the children’s choir in his family church, The Apostolic Church. Effiong holds a Bachelors’s and Masters’ degree in Economics but for several years, he consistently developed his talents in singing and in playing musical instruments.

In 2013 he released his debut single, Worship Medley. He has since then released a series of beautiful songs. He has collaborated with renowned gospel artists from Africa like Eben (Nigeria) and Khaya Sibanyoni of Joyous Celebration (South Africa) and performed his songs on stages alongside international gospel artists like Ron Kenoly, Bob fits, and some top African gospel music artists including Nathaniel Bassey, Eben, Mercy Chinwo, etc.
