Neon Adejo, the “Eze Ebube” crooner and a gospel musician from Nigeria, writes to offer advice to aspiring musicians looking to sign with a new record label.
He counsels the new generation of musical artists not to rush into signing any record label agreement without adequate understanding as one musician with experience who sees the future.
He wrote the below post on his Facebook page:
We know you’re young, your blood is hot and you can’t wait for the world to hear you🙆♂️
Please I beg you, don’t sign any record label deal out of excitement or because of what they are offering you that you are yet to even see.
Your purpose is bigger than that small car and two bedroom flats they are offering you🙏
Be smart, get a lawyer and dictate your tune🙏
Many are looking for a way out with so much regrets😩
