Jimmy was born on August 25, 1983 in Calabar. he hails from Southern part of Nigeria Onna L.G.A in Akwa ibom State to be precised and he is the son of Rev. Dr./Mrs J.J. Essien.
He was the worship leader at Dunamis International Gospel Church, headquarter in Abuja. He is a Graduate from the University of Calabar with a second class higher division in Physics.
